Course Description The Certified Residential Green Appraiser™ (CRGA) course was created for appraisers, tax assessors, and other real estate professionals, in partnership with Earth Advantage Institute, the region's leading green home certification provider. The course is designed to build participants' knowledge of green building, and will provide an introduction to all phases of green residential construction, from proper siting of a home to finish material selection. Participants will analyze valuation studies and cost data for green residential projects, and will engage in appraising green homes through case studies. Audience Many will benefit from these courses, including real estate appraisers in Oregon and Washington; tax assessors; loan officers and mortgage brokers; real estate brokers; and real estate professionals seeking an understanding of green building valuation principles. A certified residential appraiser, Taylor has experience with all types of residential construction, from acreage properties to urban renovations. Owner of the one of the area's first zero-net energy homes, for the past 5 years, he has developed a specialty in green residential construction. Taylor brings 6 years of experience as a college-level instructor and is a member of the Appraisal Institute's Sustainable Valuation Committee.
